- Abstract:
- Objective To explore the risk factors for residual acetabular dysplasia (RAD) in children with developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH) after Salter pelvic osteotomy and establish a Nomogram prediction model. Methods The relevant clinical data were retrospectively reviewed for 67 DDH hips in children undergoing Salter pelvic osteotomy and retaining complete intraoperative joint imaging at Department of Orthopedics,Kunming Children’s Hospital from January 2018 to December 2022.According to the findings of pelvic radiography at the last follow-up,they were assigned into two groups of RAD and non-RAD.The independent risk factors for RAD post-osteotomy through univariate analysis and multivariate Logistic regression.A Nomogram prediction model was constructed. Results Single factor analysis revealed that preoperative acetabular index (AI),postoperative acetabular index (CAI),postoperative were correlated with the occurrence of RAD (P<0.05); Multivariate Logistic regression analysis indicated that postoperative CAI and postoperative AI were independent risk factors for RAD occurrence; a Nomogram prediction model was constructed with independent risk factors for RAD post-osteotomy for DDH as parameters. The results of internal data validation showed that its consistency index (CI) was 0.788.Conclusions This study has successfully constructed a Nomogram prediction model for RAD after Salter pelvic osteotomy in DDH.It may predict the occurrence of RAD post-osteotomy for DDH.
