Working at Department of Urology of BCH for over 3 decades, performing 500 operations annually and receiving advanced training at Rambam Medical Center Haifa, Israel and Rome Children’s hospital, Italy, he has published over 100 papers in Journal of Pediatric Surgery and books on pediatric urology. Research tracks include treatments of hypospadias, urogenital tumor and obstruction of lower urinary tract.

President of Guangzhou Women & Children’s Medical Center and Guangzhou Children’s Hospital.
He has an excellent background in pediatric surgery, especially neonatal surgery. Research tracks include mechanism of congenital diaphragmatic hernia and lung development. As a recipient of financial support from the government over RMB 700,000 yuan, he gave numerous presentations at international medical conferences, published over 50 papers in international and Chinese Journals and composed 5 chapters in professional books.


Associate editor--Gao Ya
As a surgeon-in-chief at Department of Pediatric Surgery since 2002 and a professor of pediatric surgery since 2007, he has been a Vice President of Second Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University since 2010 and currente President of Children’s Medical and Health Centre.
Graduating with a bachelor degree from Xi’an Medical College in 1985, he received a Master of Medicine at Xi’an Medical University in 1990 and a Doctor of Medicine at Xi’an Jiao Tong University School of Medicine in 2000. Trained as a visiting scientist at Departments of Pediatric Surgery and Pediatrics, Kyoto Prefectural University of Medicine, Japan from 1995 to 1996 and a GB Ong fellow at University of Hong Kong in 2005, he has cultivated special interests in mini-invasive surgery, neonatal surgery, pediatric oncology, hemangioma and vascular malformation. He has introduced and developed a set of innovative surgical techniques in China, such as transanal rectosigmoidectomy for Hirschprung’s disease, Nuss procedure for pectus excavatum and laparoscopic liver resection in children. He has organized the fetal surgery program for birth defect in his region.
He has been awarded 6 national level grants and received provincial and ministerial level achievement awards twice. He has published more than 200 papers including 62 in nymerous internationally peer-reviewed journals. He has contributed more than 20 books or book chapters. He serves on several professional associations and is currently Vice President of Chinese Society of Pediatric Surgeon (CSPS), Chinese Medical Association (CMA), President of Shaanxi Provincial Pediatric Surgeon’s Association, Branch of CMA, Director of Shaanxi Provincial Pediatric Surgery Research Center. He also serves on editorial boards of several journals including Clinical Journal of Pediatric Surgery (CJPS).

Henri Ronald Ford
Born in Haiti, he spent his early years in Port-au-Prince. Graduating with an A.B. in public and international affairs from Princeton University in 1980, he received an M.D. from Harvard Medical School in 1984. He completed his surgical internship and residency at Weill Cornell Medical College and a research fellowship in immunology at Department of Surgery, University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. In 2009, he received a Master of Health Administration degree from School of Policy, Planning and Development at University of Southern California. Since July 2010, he has been a Trustee of Princeton University.
From 1993 to 2005, he was an attending surgeon at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh (CHP) and worked on the faculty of University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. As a surgeon-in-chief at CHP and division chief of pediatric surgery, he became Vice President and Surgeon-in-Chief at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) and joined the faculty of Keck School in 2005. After moving to East Los Angeles to serve a population in greater need than the Pittsburgh population, he turned down a large salary increase Pitt offered to retain him. He was appointed as Vice Dean for Medical Education at Keck School in 2008. As current president of American Pediatric Surgical Association (APSA), he received one of the rarest and most prestigious international milestones for a surgeon—an honorary fellowship to Royal College of Surgeons of England (RCSEng), the organization’s highest award. Since June 1, 2018, he has been a Dean of University of Miami’s Miller School of Medicine.

Alexander Cherkashin
Currently Director of Children’s Orthopedic & External Fixation Research Center at Texas Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital (TSRH). As an expert in external fixators for extremity deformities and trauma in children, he has pioneered the TrueLok external fixator and promoted its use worldwide. Gerhard Ehninger
Faculty of Dresden Cancer Center University (UCC) and President of Leukemia Research Alliance since 1996. Major research tracks include leukemia, cancer and immunotherapy.
