- Abstract:
- Congenital esophageal atresia (EA) is one of the most severe congenital digestive tract malformations during neonatal period. With recent developments of neonatal intensive care and surgical techniques, postoperative survival rate of EA children has exceeded 90%.However, some common postoperative complications of EA affect the long-term patient quality-of-life.Improving long-term quality-of-life has become a major focus of current researches. This review summarized the influencing factors of long-term quality with EA and commonly used clinical assessments.
