- Day surgery model is a rapidly developing healthcare system in China that emphasizes the concept of enhanced recovery after surgery and is widely used in simple, minimally invasive procedures such as pediatric adenoidectomy.Based on this model, Shenzhen Children’s Hospital has developed the "shuttle day management model", which combines centralized management with a blend of centralized and decentralized patient care, enhancing the efficiency of pediatric day surgeries.Quality management is essential for the safety of day surgery, and this paper elaborates on the full-process quality management of pediatric adenoidectomy day surgeries.It discussed the application of the "shuttle day management model" in pediatric specialized hospitals, covering areas such as physician and patient admission criteria, clinical pathway management, preoperative evaluation, intraoperative surgery and anaesthesia management, postoperative medication and complication management, strict discharge standards, and post-discharge follow-up.The aim is to provide new insights into the management of pediatric day surgeries, ensuring efficient, standardized, flexible, and safe management, thus contributing to the high-quality and rapid development of day surgery.
