- Abstract:
- ObjectiveTo explore the feasibility of nephronsparing surgery for children with high selective unilateral Wilms tumor.MethodsThe clinical data were retrospectively analyzed for 4 patients with unilateral nephroblastoma undergoing nephronsparing surgery from January 2007 to January 2018.ResultsAll of them were followed up for 64,58,13.5 and 7.8 months respectively. They survived tumorfree without recurrence or metastasis. The results of pathological examination were nephroblastoma (cystoid),epithelial & internal type, nephroblastoma (cystic partial differentiation) and mixed nephroblastoma. All cutting edges were negative.ConclusionFor children with unilateral Wilms tumor, the application of nephronsparing surgery remains to be confirmed by longterm, prospective and large sample clinical studies.
